There are car parks and meet and greet services where you have to hand over your keys for the duration of your time away. And there are car parks where you can simply park your car in a secure spot and keep your keys with you.
We’ve compiled a handy guide to all the car parking options at Gatwick Airport, so you can choose the right one for you and know what to expect when you turn up in your car.
For easy-to-find, great-value airport parking, for example, you can’t beat the shiny new facility run by APH, APH Self Park Gatwick , just off the M23. With the latest security technology and regular shuttles to the terminals, you simply park, keep your keys and hop on a transfer bus.
Alternatively, Airparks Gatwick Self Park also allows you to keep hold of your keys. Transfers to the airport run every 10 to 15 minutes by courtesy bus and the car park also carries the Police-approved Park Mark Award.
Of course, if you prefer to drive straight to the terminal, which is a great option for those travelling with lots of luggage or young children for example, then you can choose from a range of meet and greet services. You will have to hand over your keys for the company driver to take your car to a secure car park for the duration of your trip but, for the convenience of a short walk from your car to check-in, you may be happy to hand them over.
